23/5/2012 · If thats the case then its most likely tripping on thermal overload. (MCB slowly heating up) Run the thing for 10 minuits and then feel the mcb it shoukd be cold. People who say their 9.5-10 kw shower runs fine on a 40 A dont suffer from this as its only running for 5 minuits, these electric boilers can run for long period's of time espesially when the water systems cold.

3/9/2019 · Our boiler started tripping the electrics occasionally, and eventually blew a relay in the control centre (honeywell smartfit) - possibly a short circuit. I replaced the control centre and the same thing happened after about 20 mins of the boiler coming on.
11/7/2013 · Just wondered if the problem is still fixed - I have had RCD tripping with the same boiler for over a year - finally certain it is the combi-boiler. The gas engineer needs help and I cannot convince him that the flu may be angled incorrectly.
When it comes to boiler problems, it's always difficult to troubleshoot (with a basic knowledge)on issues relating to breaker totally trips, boiler not firing or boiler backfires. If you have noticed your boiler stopped working, only to discover that something tripped the breaker and after attempting to fire the boiler (furnace), it refused to fire or panel power breaker keep tripping.
As previously suggested, this sounds like a faulty component potentially within the boiler controls that will need replacing when identified. Further to this, your boiler has been spurred off the downstairs socket circuit which is why the sockets are tripping.

29/1/2014 · When the aqua stat broke the boiler just sat in lock out mode didn't trip the electric. Changed aqua, pump being noisey that then everything went through its cycle till the fan was due to click in and then again lock out not tripping electric.
